THE TAG GAME!

Tammy has tagged me to post 7 random things about myself that you might like to know! So here goes!

#1. I'm just a plain country girl - born and raised on a farm in midwestern Illinois.

#2. 35 years in the medical field makes me long for a different career after retirement. OH, HOW ABOUT RUG HOOKING!

#3. I was 40 when I got pregnant--HA! HA! Kind of gives a new meaning to the phrase, "I'd rather be 40, than pregnant!"

#4. My family is quite the "Survivor" freaks. We just can't miss this show and have to tape it if we are going to be out.

#5. I'm so excited to finally be getting a neat new sunroom on the south side of our 30 year old home. Thanks, Bill!!!

#6. The only thing I really wish for is - MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY!

#7. The very best of times include rug hooking with friends. I have a small group comes to my house in the country once a month and these are truly cherished times. Thanks girls!

Being really new to blogging - I won't tag anyone - YET!

PAISLEY IN PROGRESS

This is my current "in progress" project. It is a paisley pattern from Anita White. Tammy and I were fortunate to be able to attend a workshop together in early February with Anita, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It was a fabulous workshop, her expertise in color is just amazing. I hope to have this one finished in the next month. It is 24 by 60 inches, so is a WHOPPER of a piece.

FUN IN THE DYE POTS

What a magnificent day! This has been a very productive. I have been dabbling in the dye! These are some fun colors! I will call them "Mother Earth", "Jazzy Jungle", and "Snoz-Berry". These are some of the new 'EWE-NEEK' wool I have been playing around with. I love doing all of the routine colors from Karen Kahle, Laurilyn Wiles, Sue Hoss, and Laurice Heath. However, Tammy has inspired me to try some new and exciting color combinations that really are fun to work with, too.

"MOTHER EARTH"

"JAZZY JUNGLE"

"SNOZ-BERRY"

One of my favorite sayings: "A DELIGHTFUL CREATIVE MESS OUTWEIGHS NEAT AND TIDY IDLENESS!

This is why I love the country!

I think I may have finally learned a little more about this "blogging" thing! I certainly wasn't born in the computer generation, so every day is a new experience! I love the country - this is a wonderful picture that we took last week during a storm that went to our north. There was only one patch of sunlight beaming on the hillside. It was truly a magnificent site. Hope you enjoy it, also.

Circle Purse

This purse is one of my latest creations. The size is 10 x 13 inches and the shape is the same as one from Wooley Fox. The oolors I chose are from Karen Kahle: bubblegum pink, persimmon, pepperberry, mossy, and mossy light. The background is grenadine. I chose a vinyl handle with swivels. It is lined in a light green. I hope to have a pattern with finishing instructions listed in our eBay store in a couple of days.

This is a picture of my purse.

This is the bottom view with purse feet attached.
